If the HIV+ patient is registered on the DEFCON 5 programme and abides by the treatment protocols – HFC will assist them to pay their monthly Home Loan if they are unfit to perform there work obligations as a result of there HIV condition for a period not exceeding 6 months.
If the patient dies as a result of HIV whilst being registered and receiving medical treatment by the Care Centre, then HFC will pay the outstanding amount on the Home Loan less any interest payable on the Loan Agreement.
All registered members will receive the following
– Unlimited lifelong telephonic advice and counselling for the patient; – Guidance on dietary requirements and drug compliance, which includes patient follow-up; – Lifelong telephonic protocols for the treating Doctor; – Access to two Doctor’s consultations, including a blood test, per annum; – Clinical management including advice on correct drug regimens based on pathology results; – Referral to the nearest appropriate Private, NGO or State facility for anti-retroviral therapy, at the recommendation of the Care Centre, at no cost to the member. – Vitamin and mineral supplements, at the recommendation of the Care Centre, at no cost to the member.
The waiting period after registration and protocol on treatment on the policy for registered HIV+ patients will be 12 months, before they will qualify for the abovementioned benefits.
